The evaporation honeycomb is an air humidifying fabric made of fibreglass. It works like a sponge – the fibre in the honeycomb collects a large amount of purified water, so that excess water and leakage are avoided. Relative humidity is a term used to describe the amount of water vapor in the air. It is the ratio between the absolute moisture present (g/kg) and the maximum moisture that can be absorbed (g/kg) at a given temperature, measured in %. For example, 100% indicates vapor-saturated air, and 0% indicates completely dry air.

Indoor humidity depends on many factors: the season, the time of day, the materials in the house and the plants. In residential buildings, the relative humidity should be between 30-60% during the cold season and can increase to 65% during the warm season, but cannot be lower than 30%.
